Laura Pollastrini is an attorney
with Ancel, Glink, Diamond, Bush, DiCianni & Kraftherer,
specializing in local and township law, corporate
litigation and election law.
Ms. Pollastrini provides procedural advice on a variety of
topics such as the Open Meetings Act, parliamentary procedures, and the Freedom
of Information Act and in the past has assisted with seminars for newly elected
officials. Through her own
experience serving on numerous boards and commissions, coupled with her
knowledge of the law, she provides counsel on problem-solving methods and
mechanics for running well-tuned, law-abiding agencies and organizations.
Previously, Laura was the Public Information &
Special Projects Manager for the second largest State’s Attorney’s office in
Illinois, the office of DuPage County State’s Attorney Joe Birkett (1996-2005).
She also has served as the Legislative Liaison and Office Manager to
former Illinois Senate President James ‘Pate’ Philip (1991-1996).
Laura has held a significant number of
leadership roles for various organizations including DuPage County Regional
Board of School Trustees, Vice President (1995-Present), Carol Stream Library
Board (1995-2002), Wayne Township Republican Party Chairman (1997-2000), Ex.
Committee of the DuPage County Republican Central Committee (1997-2000), DuPage
County Young Republicans President (3 terms during the ‘90s), Wayne Township
Republican Women’s Organization, Founder & Past President, DuPage County
Federation of Republican Women, 1st & 2nd Vice President.
She also has served as campaign manager and coordinator of a multitude of
local candidates running for positions ranging from legislative, county board,
township and circuit court judge.
Laura was a 1995 Fellow, the first class of the
Illinois Lincoln Series.
