Abby Walsh
Abby Walsh is the Chief of Staff for State Senator Bill Brady, 44th
District. She
started as an intern for Senator Brady in 2004 and worked as
Assistant to Finance Director for his 2006 gubernatorial
campaign. During a
short break from politics, Abby worked as a Sales and Catering
Manager. She
returned to work for Senator Brady in January 2009.
Abby resides in Normal,
Illinois.
She is originally from Potomac, Illinois
and attended
Illinois
State
University, majoring in
Agribusiness. While
at Illinois State, Abby served as President of
College Republicans.
Abby is involved in the McLean County Republican Party and has
worked as a volunteer on several political campaigns for various
Republican candidates at the local, state, and federal level.
Abby also actively volunteers in her community.
She is a member of Bloomington Normal Sunrise Rotary and the
McLean County Chamber of Commerce.
She serves on the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee,
is currently serving as President of neXt professionals.
Abby is a member of the Board of Directors for Marcfirst,
and has served as the chair for their largest fundraiser.
She also had the opportunity to be involved with a build
for the television show
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2009
